The Executive Director, Global Program Lead is responsible for leading the XP-8121 program through Phase 3 execution, regulatory approval, and a successful launch. The role is accountable for driving the cross-functional strategy and rigorous execution. It leads the XP-8121 project team, providing direction and oversight, with value maximization, compliance, and quality top of mind. The Program Lead should possess a strong commercial mentality to ensure that Clinical, CMC and Medical strategies deliver the target product profile and ultimate market access and adoption. This position may also support critical development activities as needed.
• Lead the cross-functional project team to deliver on-time and consistent with Xeris’ compliance and quality standards:
o Clinical program, including the pivotal Phase 3 study
o Product development to support clinical execution and pre-NDA regulatory filings
o Product development to support NDA filing and scaling for commercial volumes
o Regulatory submissions, including IND amendments and NDA filing and approval
o Medical strategy
o Medical execution, including real-world data generation, KOL development, publications, medical education, and advocacy
o Commercial launch strategy and preparation
o Project management
• Present regulator updates to Executive Management
• Foster a culture centered on collaboration, excellence, and execution
• Maintain a broad network of relationships in the biopharmaceutical industry that help inform and deliver on best practices for the XP-8121 program.
• Performs other duties and projects as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, or other related life sciences. Advanced technical or business degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years in project or operations experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Proven success in leading complex programs that meet or exceed strategic objectives
• Demonstrated ability connecting the technical and commercial sides of the business
• Understanding of the drug development process and the interdependencies of key functions, including clinical development, CMC/PDTO, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, and commercial.

• Working Conditions: Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Periodic overnight travel, approximately 25%. This is a hybrid role based in Xeris’ Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at management’s discretion.
The level of the position will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $250,000 to $310,000. Final determination of base salary offered will depend on several factors relevant to the position, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, education, market location, and business need. This role will include eligibility for bonus and equity. The total compensation package will also include additional elements such as multiple paid time off benefits, various health insurance options, retirement benefits and more.
