Manufacturing Intern

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Commercial Manufacturing team. This internship offers hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug product supply chain, manufacturing process optimization, exposure to real-world projects, and an opportunity to develop professional skills in a collaborative environment.

• Help transform manufacturing process data into actionable insights that power process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Enhance drug product supply chain planning by designing process flows, coordinating schedules, and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that keep operations running smoothly
• Support the team in day-to-day operations as needed
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed
• At the conclusion of the internship, prepare a comprehensive review of the internship experience and present to the organization

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s/Masters/PhD and/or has completed a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate studies
• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Returning to academic program at a credentialed institution for at least one semester post-internship
• Strong interest in pharmaceutical/biomedical manufacturing/engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Thrive in a fast-paced, diverse work environment
• Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis, statistical analysis

• Working Conditions: Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. This role is based in Xeris’ Chicago office and requires five days per week in the office.

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $23.50 - $33.50. Final determination of hourly wage offered will depend on several factors relevant to the position, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, and education.
