Overview

The HR Systems & Compensation Analyst is a key role responsible for contributing to the optimization and automation of Xeris’s people systems as well as the design, administration and analysis of our global compensation programs. This role provides technical expertise in system automation, configuration, reporting, and integration, while also supporting compensation administration and payroll compliance. This role will field employee inquires in the areas of HR systems and Compensation, as well as collaborate internally and externally on communication and education efforts enhancing employees’ knowledge of Xeris’ total rewards programs.

Responsibilities

HRIS Optimization & Reporting

  • Serve as system administrator for the HRIS platform, ensuring optimal data management, security and compliance
  • Configure, test, and maintain HRIS workflows, security roles, integrations and reporting dashboards, with an eye toward simplifying and improving processes to be more effective
  • Partner with Payroll, IT, and HR to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
  • Develop, prepare and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and analytics to support business decisions
  • Provide training and support to HR team member and business leaders on system functionality.
  • Manage all HR related data integrations, reviewing and updating in the HRIS/payroll system and/or other applicable systems as needed
  • Partner with Benefits team on 401(k) administration, vendor audits and implementations with respect to file feeds and other system and data needs
  • Collaborate with the HR Team to proactively identify critical data needs and support regular data requests and analysis
  • Conduct various HR compliance activities such as maintaining employee files, record retention and management, compliance reporting (EEO-1, ACA, etc.), and other related activities

Compensation Support

  • Support compensation management activities such as market research, compensation surveys, pay equity analysis, and data uploads/entry into payroll system for various employee changes
  • Serve as a trusted resource for HR and functional leaders, providing guidance on compensation practices, job pricing and analysis, and relevant policies.
  • Assist with annual and mid-year compensation processes, through data preparation, system set-up, and assisting with communications and training.
  • Enhance and maintain knowledge of compensation market practices, use of artificial intelligence in compensation and legal requirements as well as updates in federal and state regulations
  • Proactively seek out ways AI can be utilized to improve and evolve compensation administration
  • Respond to unemployment claims and employment verification requests
  • Act as a backup for Payroll and Equity administration
  • Assist with other adhoc projects as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years experience in HRIS and Compensation in a professional, fast paced environment
  • Experience with WorkDay strongly preferred, including system and module implementations
  • Knowledge of other HR systems preferred (ADP, iCIMS, Lattice, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HRIS, Compensation, and general HR regulations and laws (ERISA, FLSA, 409A, etc.)
  • Proven success utilizing AI solutions highly desired
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) preferred, in progress or completed
  • Stock compensation experience a plus
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), with advanced skills in Excel, including
  • Competencies:  Attention to Detail, Analytical skills, Confidentiality, Organizational & Interpersonal Skills, Team Player, Self-Starter, Discrete, Verbal and Written Communication skills, Customer Service, Time Management
  • Working Conditions: Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Periodic overnight travel may be required. This is a hybrid role based in Xeris’ Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at management’s discretion.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $130,000. Final determination of base salary offered will depend on several factors relevant to the position, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, education, market location, and business need. This role will include eligibility for bonus and equity. The total compensation package will also include additional elements such as multiple paid time off benefits, various health insurance options, retirement benefits and more. Details about these and other offerings will be provided at the time a conditional offer of employment is made.
