Overview

The Manager, Contracts & Pricing assists in developing and implementing the market access strategy for all US approved products. This includes the management and administration of Xeris’ managed markets contracts including distributor, direct purchase, and managed care contracts. This position is responsible for managing deal evaluation/development process from contract inception through final approval.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic assessment, deal structure, analysis, forecasting and reporting of contract profitability customer segments.
• Manage the development and implementation of the deal evaluation process to quantify the profitability of new/existing contracts for marketed products.
• Structure all offers with respect to the development of financial analytics and profitability metrics.
• Lead the effort in conjunction with Account Managers to implement distributor, pharmacy, and payer strategies.
• Evaluate Market Access RFPs and complete analyses to determine impact and suggest changes that produce the most favorable outcomes/options.
• Manage the Market Access contracting process, including developing, reviewing, and editing of proposals, agreements, amendments, notice letters and other Market Access contract documents.
• Responsible for staying current on pricing, regulatory guidelines, market trends, and competitive activity, and provide updates to internal customers, including Brand Teams, Account Managers, and Senior Management.
• Understand competitive dynamics to identify key opportunities and threats and incorporate into strategies and plans
• Build trusting, collaborative relationships and alliances with internal stakeholders to include Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Commercial Operations and Legal to support contract management and administration.
• Develop and assimilate managed markets analytics including pre-deal and post-deal contract performance, distributor inventory, retail pharmacy, and others to support contract and price decisions.
• Proactively monitor and communicate information and results to all cross-functional partners to allow for informed business decisions and discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience. Advance degree (MBA) preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare environment, in roles involving contracting, pricing, finance or decision support.
• A strong level of analytical, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and other key platforms.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with managed markets required.
• Ability to exhibit agility in an evolving environment.
• Ability to read and understand complex legal contract documents.

Working Conditions: Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Periodic overnight travel may occur for conferences and other meetings a few times annually.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $175,000. Final determination of base salary offered will depend on several factors relevant to the position, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, education, market location, and business need. This role will include eligibility for commission and equity. The total compensation package will also include additional elements such as multiple paid time off benefits, various health insurance options, retirement benefits and more. Details about these and other offerings will be provided at the time a conditional offer of employment is made.
