Overview

The Legal Operations Coordinator is a key role responsible for supporting the Xeris Legal team. The ideal candidate is ambitious and excited to get their foot in the door of an innovative company. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-impact legal function in a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the business and understand the various functions within the company by supporting the Legal team
  • Oversee contract management system and work with Contracts team to monitor contract intake, track contract processing, and route contracts for approval and signature
  • Assist the Legal team with contract-related compliance requirements and with maintenance of the company’s intellectual property portfolio and docket
  • Prepare purchase requests/orders for Legal; process and track invoices.
  • Maintain the Legal team’s internal company page
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as sending mailings, booking meeting rooms, coordinating internal legal team meetings, filing, copying, signature page preparation, etc.
  • Establish rapport with fellow employees and vendors, maintaining positive working relationships
  • Perform legal operations/admin duties, legal research, and assist with ad hoc projects
  • Provide additional support on corporate secretarial matters, including entity management, annual reporting, and corporate records maintenance.
  • Support new technology implementations
  • Help identify educational opportunities/professional development for legal team

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required; Notary a plus
  • Strong interest in a career in Legal preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional, fast paced environment
  • Highly proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with HighQ or other similar contract management system
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or other similar systems
  • Competencies: Attention to Detail, Highly Organized, Strong Interpersonal Skills, Team Player, Self-Starter, Discrete, Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills, Customer Service, Time Management
  • Working Conditions: Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. This is a hybrid position based in Xeris’ Chicago office. A minimum of three days per week in the office is required. On-site requirements may change at management’s discretion.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $50,000-70,000. Final determination of base salary offered will depend on several factors relevant to the position, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, education, market location, and business need. This role will include eligibility for bonus and equity. The total compensation package will also include additional elements such as multiple paid time off benefits, various health insurance options, retirement benefits and more. Details about these and other offerings will be provided at the time a conditional offer of employment is made.
