Overview

The Associate Manager, Brand Marketing is a key member of the Marketing team who supports the development and execution of marketing strategies across cross-functional team efforts to commercialize key tactical initiatives that support the brand’s commercial growth plan. Under the direction of the Brand Lead, the Associate Manager will partner with key internal and external stakeholders to identify and translate actionable insights into commercially viable messages and tactics. With a strong focus on operational excellence, the Associate Manager will drive alignment and day-to-day brand workflow productivity between marketing colleagues, external agencies, and internal key stakeholders (Marketing Centers of Excellence, Sales, Sales Training, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance) to achieve the commercial growth plan. This role will also be responsible for the development and fulfillment of HCP and Patient awareness, engagement and adherence content/campaign assets and planning processes to ensure campaign delivery in support of their commercial product maximizing brand exposure and managing to their brand’s budget.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with brand lead and key stakeholders to develop marketing plans that align with business objectives
  • Provide strategic guidance to marketing centers of excellence on channel strategies and campaign assets to ensure alignment with brand strategy and priorities
  • Develop and foster cross-functional partnerships in order to create mutual value for HCPs, Patients and Brand in development and execution of key brand initiatives.
  • Support the development and fulfillment of sales force materials, overseeing the full end-to-end process with excellence inclusive of insight gathering, development and approval, sales team launch and training, and ongoing inventory management and maintenance.
  • Act as project lead for key brand initiatives and product lifecycle programs as assigned, participating in or leading cross-functional teams to ensure on time delivery/launch
  • Collaborate and consult with cross-functional teams to monitor market, competitive activity, and brand trends to identify actionable insights to inform positioning, value proposition and message strategy for the brand
  • Manage new and existing materials through medical, legal and regulatory review processes in full compliance with Xeris policies and procedures
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of campaigns and brand initiatives, making data driven recommendations for optimization
  • Assist in brand marketing budget management and tracking, including the creation and management of contracts, purchase orders and invoices
  • Manage vendor relationships as assigned to include backend onboarding, invoice tracking and payments, and compliance with contract terms
  • Develop and manage internal communications flows that drive buy in and adoption to key brand priorities
  • Lead and/or participate in additional projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other relevant field of study – advanced degree (MBA) a plus.
  • A minimum of four years of marketing, sales or combined experience, with at least two in the pharmaceutical industry.\
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a great deal of autonomy.
  • Demonstrated experience managing workflow through medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance review processes.
  • Hands-on experience working with Veeva PromoMats, or similar review systems.
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations, ODPD guidelines and pharmaceutical marketing compliance. Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal key stakeholders and external partners to deliver projects on time and in budget.
  • Strong project management skills and highly detail oriented.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Hubspot and Veeva.
  • A general knowledge of the budget management processes.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors on matters that range from contract term adherence to invoicing management preferred.
  • Ability to plan and organize work and self to achieve objectives and targets, holding self-accountable for the delivery of outcomes that meet and exceed expectations.

  • Working Conditions: Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Periodic overnight travel – approximately 25% anticipated. This is a hybrid role based in Xeris’ Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at management’s discretion.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $120,000. Final determination of base salary offered will depend on several factors relevant to the position, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, education, market location, and business need. This role will include eligibility for bonus and equity. The total compensation package will also include additional elements such as multiple paid time off benefits, various health insurance options, retirement benefits and more. Details about these and other offerings will be provided at the time a conditional offer of employment is made.
