Overview

The Marketing Intern will collaborate with the Brand Marketing team to support critical projects that are intended to make a difference in patients’ lives. This role will provide you with an opportunity to develop a strong foundation of marketing skills, build knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, and gain exposure to a dynamic, cross-functional working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Brand Marketing team supporting both strategic and tactical initiatives for HCP and patient audiences
  • Support our commercial brands and be tasked with holistically tackling a current and significant business challenge
  • Assist with the development and revision of promotional materials and content calendars by collaborating with cross-functional partners and agencies
  • Gain a broad understanding of HCP and Patient marketing for retail and rare disease, including rare patient journeys, and the specialty pharmacy model
  • Support the management of cross-functional team projects and meetings
  • Participate in the planning and execution of various Sales and Marketing events
  • Conduct a final presentation to share key learnings and insights, and proposal to the business
  • Provide general support to the Brand Marketing team as needed

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university program
  • Academic background in Marketing, Business or Communications required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail with analytical, problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Competencies: Organizational skills, Written and Verbal Communications, Teamwork & Collaboration, Analytical skills, Attention to Detail, Self-Starter, Adaptability, Professionalism

Working Conditions

  • Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Periodic overnight travel.
  • This role is based in Xeris’ Chicago office and requires five days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at management’s discretion.
