Overview

Xeris Pharmaceuticals is seeking a dynamic and strategic Influencer Marketing Manager to lead the Company’s influencer marketing efforts across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Podcasts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in influencer marketing, with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory landscape. This role requires a creative thinker who can identify and collaborate with influencers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the various disease states to enhance our brand presence and reach. The Influencer Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the entire influencer marketing process, from sourcing and vetting influencers to content approval and in-market activation and following through to performance optimization.

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with stakeholders across the marketing channel mix and commercial team to deliver a cohesive, integrated influencer strategy and content all the while ensuring strict compliance to brand and regulatory guidelines.

· Continuously analyze the performance of all influencer content both in-market as well as previous content to pull through learnings to apply to future content ensuring for optimal performance and be prepared and ready to report out on said performance as well as plans for optimization.

· Source, onboard and train content creators for collaboration and ensure a mutually beneficial relationship and set up structure to have the content creators serve as a network of UGC creators that we can tap into for ongoing content collaboration needs.

· Manage agency partners, content creators and KOLs to develop and execute always-on influencer campaign as well as campaigns to support tentpole moments in a brand’s lifecycle, in collaboration with marketing team members.

· Own and manage the budget for Influencer Marketing inclusive of ensuring for timely processing of invoices and payments as required by finance and accounting guidelines and ensuring a favorable fee/OOP ratio.

· Manage content, optimization, reporting/analytics (including defining and tracking ongoing quantitative and qualitative results), relationships, content development, and updates to Influencer Marketing programs.

· Prepare overarching short and long-term goals for all Influencer Marketing programs and ensure full integration with the brand strategy.

· Prepare reports and presentations on the influencer marketing activity performance and opportunities for a wide range of stakeholders to include senior leaders, executive management team, and cross-functional team members.

· Prepare quarterly trend reports summarizing key changes in the spaces of content creators and content creation, highlighting any adjustments or recommendations to our approach.

· Source and bring on KOLs in relevant disease states to explore and secure relevant brand content placement on KOLs channels (podcasts, events, website, social media, etc.) and work with marketing team members appropriately to ensure alignment to overall brand strategy and placement.

· Facilitate effective collaboration with Regulatory, Legal, Medical and CMC to ensure product and marketing tools are deployed according to policy.

Qualifications

· Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, a related field, or equivalent required.

· 2 - 4 years of hands-on influencer marketing management experience required; at least one prior related role in a regulated industry (pharmaceuticals, healthcare, finance, or education) preferred.

· Understanding of FDA regulations and guidance regarding advertising and promotion of prescription drug products

· Thrives in ambiguity and can adapt quickly in any situation and asks questions to increase depth of understanding.

· Influencer marketing agency experience preferred.

· Deep understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and Podcasts) and high familiarity with the content creator landscape and platforms such as Meltwater, Brandwatch, Hootsuite or Sprinkler.

· Experience managing agency partners and developing, executing and managing influencer campaigns.

· Experience with budget management and optimization for performance.

· Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Video editing skills is a plus

Working Conditions

· Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations.

· Overnight travel up to 25%.

· This is a hybrid role based in Xeris’ Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at management’s discretion.
