Overview

The Medical Affairs internship will provide a broad understanding of the various roles and responsibilities within Medical Communications & Regional Medical Affairs, including hands-on experience, real-world project exposure, training, and development opportunities. Through this internship, one will be responsible for supporting various internal processes and activities in the Medical Affairs Department across all our currently approved products under the supervision of the Director of Medical Communications. The role will also be responsible for completing a special project to support the needs of the Medical Affairs Department. This paid internship will be on-site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in department, cross-functional, and all company meetings to learn how to shape Medical Affairs strategy, tactics, activities, initiatives, and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Assist with data research project to be determined by the Medical Affairs team.
  • Gain exposure and support identified traditional medical affairs activities, which may include medical information, medical review, medical material development, and field medical affairs activities.
  • Receive training on the technical aspects of Medical Affairs and network with relevant cross-functional groups.
  • Shadow various members of the Medical Affairs team including Senior Director Regional Medical Affairs, Director of Publications & Medical Communications, Medical Director, Pharmacovigilance, Quality, and other cross-functional partners as identified.

Qualifications

  • Students that have completed their second year in accredited healthcare doctorate level school programs.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Embrace growth mindset.
  • Competencies: Written and Verbal Communication skills, Teamwork & Collaboration, Professionalism, Organizational skills, Problem-solving skills, Adaptability, Self-starter

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
