Overview

The Senior Manager, Performance Marketing will be responsible for managing integrated digital campaign strategy, channel mix and execution.  As the Senior Manager, Performance Marketing, you will lead our digital marketing efforts for the Xeris portfolio of brands, with a primary focus on maximizing conversions and ROI in the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry. You will play a crucial role in directly overseeing and optimizing our digital media marketing strategies. This role will be responsible for managing a group of channel managers, each specializing in paid social, paid search, email marketing, and SEO. This role requires high collaboration across not just the marketing team, but also Medical, Legal and Regulatory to ensure all marketing campaigns meet FDA compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of channel managers, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance objectives.
  • Channel mix and channel management to deliver against KPIs inclusive of cost per click (CPC)
  • Media management – understand how the through lines work together to include media buy integration
  • Collaborate with Ad Agency by working closely with our external ad agency to align strategies, review campaigns, and ensure cohesive efforts across all channels.
  • Implement rigorous strategies to continuously optimize the performance of our digital media marketing efforts, ensuring maximum ROI.
  • Oversee marketing efforts beyond the core team, including display marketing, streaming video, and audio, to ensure holistic and integrated campaigns.
  • Manage and allocate budgets effectively across various digital channels, keeping a keen eye on performance metrics.
  • Ensure all digital marketing activities adhere to industry-specific regulations and guidelines, drawing on previous experience in regulated industries such as finance, education, or healthcare.
  • Generate regular reports to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing team as well as cross-functional team members to develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other relevant field of study is required, master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of direct experience in similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in managing and optimizing digital marketing channels, including paid social, paid search, email marketing, and SEO.
  • Experience working with external agencies and overseeing campaigns in additional channels like display marketing, streaming video, and audio.
  • Ability to navigate the complexity of optimizing campaigns within the bounds of a regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics and reporting tools (Salesforce Marketing Intelligence, Google Analytics 4, PowerBI, etc.)

Working Conditions                                                                                                                          

  • This is a hybrid role based in Xeris’ Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at management’s discretion.
  • Occasional overnight travel required.
