Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner to designated businessfunctions within Xeris.  This position will support these teams on recruitment, performance management and development, employee relations, workforce planning, onboarding and offboarding activities, and interpretation and adherence to company policies.  The incumbent will collaborate closely with other HR team members to ensure alignment across the Company. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading new hire onboarding programs and talent acquisition compliance and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Formulates strong partnerships with designated functions to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees that are aligned with the Company’s overarching business objectives. 
  • Maintains effective level of business literacy about the designated functions, including financial position, short-term and long-term plans, culture, and talent competitiveness. 
  • Collaborates with leadership for designated functions on performance management and development, training, and onboarding and offboarding initiatives and liaise with the global HR team to evolve existing processes and programs aligned with HR department goals
  • Leads recruitment activities, including search strategy & sourcing, screening, behavioral interviewing, hiring manager partnership, offers & offer negotiation for designated functions
  • Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding employee practices, policy and employment laws (e.g., coaching, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance. Partners with the legal team as needed.
  • Participates in exit activities and conducts exit interviews with exiting employees and identifies common themes and elevates to management on a periodic basis
  • Leads the development and implementation of new hire onboarding program and oversees administrative aspects related to new hire onboarding; monitors feedback and metrics to continually improve the program
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to talent acquisition and employee onboarding/pre-employment processes and leads efforts and processes to maintain compliance
  • Supports AAP and Pay Transparency efforts for Xeris
  • Responsible for management of iCIMS ATS including updating and managing data information and integrity, streamlining processes within the system, achieving and reporting on key recruiting and onboarding metrics as well as training new leaders on how to use iCIMS
  • Proactively drive talent acquisition effectiveness by tracking key measures of success and providing insights and recommended solutions to improve overall business outcomes
  • Participates in initiatives and/or other activities as directed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or Society of Human Resources Manager Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, to include full-life cycle recruitment and employee relations, in a professional environment required; prior experience working with sales teams is a plus
  • Experience with iCIMS and LinkedIn Recruiter is a plus
  • Excellent computer skills required including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and understand general company HR needs

  • Working Conditions: Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Periodic overnight travel.
